Secondary

CIC Secondary School is an exciting and transformative time for our students. As elementary students transition to Middle School, they experience a shift from familiar routines—no more cubbies, travel lines, or a single home classroom. Instead, they are introduced to assigned lockers, a structured four-block schedule with separate classrooms for each subject, and Advisory—a daily 15- to 20-minute homeroom period where an advisor provides academic and personal support.

As students progress through CIC Secondary School, they come to understand the significance of their classes and grades, as these will be key factors in college applications. CIC offers a comprehensive college-prep program, including a variety of Advanced Placement (AP) courses, which gives students the chance to tackle college-level work while they’re still in high school and earn college credit and placement courses such as Art, Chemistry, English, French, Spanish, History, Biology, and Calculus.

Beyond these advanced courses, students have the opportunity to explore a wide range of electives, including Choir, Robotics, Model United Nations (MUN), Studio Art, and Introduction to Engineering Design, among others.
